ArinaBB, a New York-based artist from Russia who creates abstract acrylic portraits and interactive installations said in an interview with Fortune she made "six figures" selling her works in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). To The Moon retells the key points of the interview.

  1. Self-educate. ArinaBB says artists who want to start selling NFTs should first get familiar with the idea behind the phenomenon. She personally learned about it on Twitter Spaces. However, she highlights: there is no instruction on how to make a fortune in a day.
  2. Create NFT. The artist says she used the 3D modeling software called Cinema 4D to create her works. However, anyone can sell anything in the form of an NFT, including a JPEG or an MP3.
  3. Mint it. ArianaBB sells her work on Rarible, a marketplace for NFTs based on the Ethereum network. It's up to an artist though where to sell products as there are many other marketplaces like OpenSea, SuperRare, Nifty Gateway, and so on.
  4. Price it. Pricing is one of the most important steps of a sale. For example, she’ll personally set a starting price for a digital NFT at 0.22 ETH. However, if the NFT is paired with a physical painting, ArianaBB will price it at 2 ETH minimum.

As To The Moon earlier reported, a group of blockchain enthusiasts sold a collection of NFTs called the Infinite Machine Collection for 168 ETH in just 28 hours. The proceeds will go towards The Infinite Machine budget, a movie about the Ethereum blockchain network based on Camila Russo's book: The Infinite Machine: How an Army of Crypto-hackers Is Building the Next Internet with Ethereum.
