NBA Top Shot NFTs reached almost $84 million in monthly sales on the secondary markets, surging by over 70% in a month, according to data from CryptoSlam.

The sale's activity comes after the NFT collection launched a new TV and social media ad campaign featuring Kevin Durant. In December 2021, Durant became an ambassador for Coinbase.

Durant also was an early Coinbase investor in 2017 through Thirty Five Ventures.

The basketball player isn't the reachest in terms of NFT cards.

According to the official NBA Top Show website, the most expensive NFT card features Lebron James priced $230,023.

Founded in 2019, NBA Top Shot is a platform based on the Flow blockchain allowing users to buy, sell and trade NFTs of historical events in the NBA.

Earlier this year, To The Moon reported that Steve Aoki's investments in non-fungible tokens reached $1 million with the latest purchase of token #9309 from the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) valued at 81.23 ETH (~$310,000 at the time of purchase).
