Logitech, a consumer electronics producer giant, will host its second annual Song Breaker Awards ceremony on Roblox, an online gaming platform. The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at 10 am PST, and will feature Lizzo, an American multi-GRAMMY Award-winning rap star with over 12 million subscribers on Instagram.

The company said in a press release that the show will have three additional performances throughout the whole weekend. The show itself will be hosted by Bretman Rock, a beauty influencer with over 18 million subscribers on Instagram.

Lizzo, who will be performing her new song "Special" on the award show stage, says she's "excited" to be making her metaverse debut:

As a musician and creator, I love that Logitech Song Breaker Awards show recognizes the unique talent of all creators, and how each of them are making an impact on pop culture and music.

In addition to Lizzo, the show will also feature the Peachy Princess of Roblox MeganPlays, Twitch streamer Shroud and musician and activist Jaden Smith. Logitech says singer-songwriter GAYLE, best known for her Billboard no. 1 hit "abcde-forget-u," will also participate.

While many still don't get what is metaverse and why it has become a buzzword lately, businesses are actively incorporating the term by putting a big chunk of money on it. To The Moon earlier reported that Epic Games and the LEGO Group had signed a $2 billion partnership agreement to build a safe metaverse for kids.

As part of the long-term partnership, the companies will focus on developing an "immersive, creatively inspiring and engaging digital experience for kids of all ages to enjoy together."
