India's alternative to WhatsApp called Hike is looking for a Chief Meme Officer as the company launched the Web3 referral initiative to expand the product strategy.
In an interview with Business Insider India, Hike Founder Kavin Bharti Mittal said the company is also offering ether (ETH) in return for referring new employees for his company as part of the new Web3 gaming initiative called the "Rush Gaming Universe."
In total, Hike is planning to hire about 30 new employees in addition to the existing team of 140 employees. Other positions also include roles like "crypto game economist," and "senior product manager — crypto."
The company is particularly offering up to 0.25 ETH for a Chief Meme Officer, and 1 ETH for a Crypto Game Economist.
The Rush Gaming Universe is a mobile-only blockchain platform with casual games where players can compete with each other and own a piece of the network.
Hike (formerly known as Hike Sticker Chat) was an Indian freeware, cross-platform instant messaging. In 2020, the project's developers reimagined the vision, focusing on gaming and crypto.
