DeadFellaz, a collection of 10,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) launched in August 2021, reached 21,500 ETH trading volume as the collection's adoption keeps gaining attraction in the NFT space.
The co-founders under alias Betty and Psych (who are a married couple) said in an interview with UNILAD the collection of the slime-green zombies represented to them "emotional connections formed with jpegs."
For Betty, the collection is a special one as before making the product the couple had "no money at all" and felt "not represented at all" in the collections that had come earlier. Betty added:
We lost so many contracts for large global events that had been canceled because of Covid that we were banking on. Sometimes when you’re in the creative industry one contract is almost a year’s worth of work, so that had a huge effect on us.
The moment when the collection got mainstream acceptance Betty will remember for the rest of her life as she says realized she got "more money than I had ever seen in my entire life."
More than any of my family had ever seen in their entire lives.
As of press time, the floor price of the collection hit 3.111 ETH and the total amount of owners reached 6,000 people. However, the couple doesn't plan to stop there as Betty sees a whole unlimited universe around DeadFellaz as the project can eventually become a "future pillar of pop culture."
