Yuga Labs, the company that created the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection, has launched its own merch shop called MAYC Merch Shop where users can buy items such as hoodies, soccer jerseys or hats, sweatpants, but there's one catch: they can purchase these items with apecoin (APE) only.
Which has already become an issue as the shop processes payments via Coinbase Commerce, a merchandise solution for business.
The problem here is that users faced issues with ordering items as the shop was repetitively showing "Late payment" or "No payment" errors for those who submitted multiple payments on a single order via Coinbase Commerce.
Yuga Labs said — via BAYC's Twitter page — that for those who had limited-quantity items in their shopping cart and weren’t able to checkout, they will email an invoice with a link that will allow users to checkout with limited items. Orders that were successfully completed will be fulfilled, Yuga said. The nature of technical issues remains undisclosed.
The scale of the incident is also unclear, but users in the comment section under Yuga's statement were puzzled as there are no official explanations for those who had missed out on limited items if they get any other chance to buy these items again.

What is more important, is that those who wanted to access the shop had to not only have APE tokens but also a BAYC or Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT. This is another barrier given that the floor price for one BAYC token surpassed the 105.13 ETH ($360,000+) mark.
